The Future of Women’s Pasts Conference – 26 June 2015

Sponsored by the LHRI and School of History this one day conference brings together archivists, researchers and activists who run and use women’s libraries and feminist archives to discuss the histories of archiving women in the past and how this shapes approaches to collecting, research and activism in the future.  The programme includes a key note lecture from Ann Schofield, Professor of Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies based at the University of Kansas, and presentations and roundtables with librarians, archivists and activists from the British Library, Feminist Archive North, Feminist LibraryGlasgow Women’s Library, the Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre and Atria. We will also showcase current archive projects Archiving Women in Film and TV. and the Family Archive
